It's hard to believe that this June 4th marks the anniversary of when Mandy Young lost her left leg and hip to two life threatening infections. With less than a 3% chance to live her parents had hope and faith in her survival. Now 20 years later she is still Lovin' Life.

For t...he 20th anniversary we wanted to do something big! And we thought what's better than to raise money for a charity?? We have a wonderful charity that we are so excited about! This run/walk is for those of us that can to help those who can't. There are many of us out there that can't live that normal every day life....but these charities help us realize that we aren't alone in this world, that there is no such thing as "normal", and that we are wonderful just the way we are!

Our money will be going to a charity that is very dear to mine and my family's heart called Camp Firefly. It's an all expenses paid, fun-filled, week long camp for terminally/seriously ill children and their families. It's a week away from hospitals, doctors, nurses and treatments and where you can try to be a "normal" kid for a while. Plus you get to meet other families who know what you're going through! I went to this camp 19 years ago and it was one of the best weeks of my life! This is also Camp Firefly's 20th anniversary so I thought it was a perfect fit!!
